GETTING HERE

Our home and the wedding venue are only 10 minutes from San Francisco International Airport (SFO), so we recommend using that airport if you’re flying in. Other options are Oakland International (35 miles) and San Jose International (40 miles), but traffic in the Bay Area can be difficult, so we don’t recommend them. United Airlines has a hub at SFO, which is also served by many other carriers, including American, Alaska, Delta, Jet Blue, and Southwest.

HOTEL

Because of our proximity to SFO, there are a multitude of hotels near us. For deluxe accommodations we recommend the Sonesta hotels. For excellent accommodations we recommend the Doubletree by Hilton located north of the airport. For budget accommodations we recommend the Best Western Grosvenor Plus, also north of the airport. There are also many other hotels both north and south of the airport, including the Hyatt Regency, Westin SFO, Embassy Suites, Crown Plaza, Fairfield Inn, Comfort Inn and Suites, and Courtyard by Marriott. There are also plenty of Air BnB’s in the area.

SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO

South San Francisco, which bills itself as the “Biotech Capitol of the World,” is a city of about 67,000, located 20 minutes south of San Francisco, and right next to the city of San Bruno. October’s weather is nice, about 71 degrees during the day and 53 degrees at night, with little chance of rain. It can be windy, though, so do bring a jacket!

VACATIONING HERE

Feel free to come early or stay later! San Francisco and the rest of the Bay Area area are easily accessible via BART and CalTrain.
